“A few days since a grizzly bear was killed at Bear Mountain, near San Andreas. The Independent says: “Hunters report that quite a number of the dangerous customers have their lairs among the chapparel (sic) and rocks north-east of Salt Spring Valley, and not over three miles from San Andreas.”
